Michelle Savage
About
Hi, I’m Michelle Savage, LMFT, PMH-C. I work with individuals and couples navigating chronic illness, trauma, infertility, stillbirth, grief, and major life transitions. I especially enjoy working with couples where one or both partners are managing chronic illness or trauma and with Veterans and their families, drawing on 12 years of experience serving the Veteran community.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. I use Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) to explore relationships and life transitions, Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT) and the Gottman Method to strengthen communication and connection, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to address trauma. I am also developing my skills in Parts Work.
You can expect me to listen without judgment, be open and transparent, and provide both emotional support and practical guidance. Together, we’ll explore patterns and experiences that may be keeping you stuck while building tools to help you move forward.
You don’t have to minimize what you’ve been through. There is room for grief, uncertainty, relationship challenges—and hope. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself and the people you love while finding a path forward that honors your story.
