The same listing the leading therapist directory charges $29.95 a month for — free here, with license and malpractice verification badges they don't offer. And we run the ads that bring clients to the directory, so your listing gets advertised — free of charge. No card. No catch. About two minutes. And free SessionNotes — speak after a session, get a finished SOAP, DAP or BIRP note back.

Photo, bio, specialties, session types, and your fee — the front door clients walk through.
Your license is checked against your state board's public database. Directories that verify nothing make every listing worth less.
Upload your COI and we badge it, then remind you 60 and 30 days before it expires. Optional, but it sets you apart.
Clients find you by specialty, location, years in practice, and session type — not by who paid the most.
Secure messaging comes straight to you. No queue, no middleman, no "matching team" between you and your future client.
Speak a few sentences after a session and get a finished SOAP, DAP or BIRP note back. It learns to write the way you do. We never record the session itself. How it works →
We run the ads that bring clients to the directory — at our expense, not yours. Your listing is promoted from day one, and you never pay a cent for placement or promotion.
Practice software puts AI note-writing inside a subscription that runs around $69 a month. Ours comes with a free listing, and you never have to buy anything else from us to keep it.
We will never record your sessions.
An AI scribe has to record the room to work. That recording is a new thing in the world: a verbatim copy of the most private hour in your client's life, sitting on a server somewhere. It has to be consented to. It has to be stored. It has to be secured. And if a court ever comes looking for it, it has to be handed over — a transcript now exists where before there was only your memory and your notes.
We have thought about this problem for a long time. When Dr. Kat built one of the first online-therapy platforms back in 1999, she insisted it not store session chat at all, for exactly this reason. A record you never made is a record nobody can subpoena.
So MyTherapyMatch never hears your sessions. It hears you, afterwards. Close the door, pick your format, and say what happened the way you'd say it to a supervisor. Half a minute of talking comes back as a finished note — which you then read, correct, and sign.
Sits in the session. Records your client. Creates a permanent transcript that has to be consented to, stored, secured — and produced if it is ever subpoenaed.
Hears nothing. You talk to it after the client has gone, and no recording of the session is ever made — because the safest recording is the one that does not exist.
Say what happened the way you'd say it out loud to a supervisor. A few sentences is plenty — the writing-up is our job.
SOAP, DAP or BIRP. Pick the one you already chart in and that's exactly what comes back.
We strip your client's name — and any email, phone, address or SSN — before a single word is sent anywhere, then put it back on your screen. You see what was removed, every time.
It invents nothing. A section with nothing behind it says so rather than being filled in. You read the draft, fix what's wrong, and tick the box that says you agree — nothing is filed until you do.
From notes you've already written — so drafts come back sounding like you, not like software.
Included with your free listing. No card, no tier, no expiry — even if the listing is the only thing you ever use us for.
Two reasons. First, we make our money on optional practice software some therapists choose to add — you will never need to buy anything to stay listed, and your listing never expires. Second, we spend our own ad budget bringing clients to the directory — your listing gets advertised at no cost to you. A paid listing would just be you funding our ads. We'd rather fund them ourselves.
Built by therapists, for therapists. MyTherapyMatch was founded by Dr. Kat Derrig-Palumbo, who launched one of the world's first online-therapy platforms in 1999 and spent a decade teaching therapists and state boards how to practice online ethically. This directory is run by people who've sat in your chair — not a tech company guessing at therapy.
Yes — free forever, for every therapist. There is no credit card field anywhere in signup, no trial that converts to a charge, and no paid tier of the directory. The listing you create today is the listing you keep.
Your name, email, and license number — about two minutes. Add your profile photo and bio, and you're done.
Your listing goes live once your license verifies against your state board's database — usually within one business day. Your badges appear automatically as each check clears.
No — and we never will. Nothing we make listens to a session. You talk to SessionNotes after your client has gone, and it works from what you tell it. There is no recording, no transcript, and therefore nothing that could ever be subpoenaed, leaked, or handed over. Your client's name is stripped out before your summary is sent for formatting and put back on your screen afterwards, so the name never leaves your browser at all.
Yes. It comes with the free listing, alongside everything else on this page. Practice software that includes AI note drafting typically runs around $69 a month; we don't charge for ours, and you never have to buy anything else from us to keep using it.
Your contact information is never sold or shared with marketers — full stop. You'll get your confirmation email, verification updates, messages from actual clients, and an occasional note from us about your listing or tools we've built for therapists. Every email from us has a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing never affects your listing.
Free, verified, and never pay-to-rank.
